Used 2.8F Rolleiflex TLR in excellent working condition
When I get a TLR in on consignment, normally I send them out for service since they usually need something if they have sat unused for a while. However this one is really in great shape and didn't need any service. The meter still operable (thought I didn't check it for accuracy), focus rack very smooth from far to near, shutter and aperture dials turning easily, shutter speeds are all working and sound accurate to my ear. Film transport and film count working well.
Condition: There are some point spots with paint loss (cosmetic only, not scratches) which is quite common and particularly on the inside folds of the WLF, but the leather is really quite excellent. Over all the appearance is very good! The viewing lens has some spotted areas on bottom 1/3 but they won't affect image obviously since it's the focusing lens, and it didn't affect focusing for me either - didn't really notice it actually. The taking lens is excellent as can be seen in the pictures. Rolleikin has been fitted, and the Rolleikin parts and the original parts are there. There is a very small flat on right rear back corner - affects nothing - but want to call it out.
Leather Everready case has some wear but still very good and usable.
Comes with the following items:
Two Rolleiflex books
Brand new, never opened OEM factory neck strap
Rolleikin kit with case and mask
a second factory focus screen (some wear marks)
Lens cap (genuine factory) but phenolic plastic
The 2.8F cameras have continued to rise in price. Ones in near mint condition are selling for high $2's
