6000 Batteries and chargers

6000 Batteries and chargers

April 2020

The new factory made charger, the D type, seems to be working well and I'm told by technician Dave Feely at Key Camera Service, that in his testing the NiMH celled batteries are getting fully charged in less time with less heat.  Less heat means longer life.

While the factory is supplying me with new chargers, they've not had any new 6000 batteries available for months.   I'm in need of dead or old 6000 battery cores for rebuilding.  If you have any just laying around, I'd be happy to buy them from you at $25 each so I can get them rebuilt and out to users.  This will help another Rolleiflex user in need!  Thank you!

Perhaps after 2 months you no longer need these old batteries. But in case you do, I should be able to find 2-3 in my stash.

Actually, speaking for myself, the $25 is not nearly as attractive as the promise to return the re-celled batteries after you finish with them – be it 6 months later or whenever.

If only Rollei would come up with a new generation of these batteries which leverages modern lithium cells and retro-fit into same housing. My batteries are still the Achilles foot for my 6000 system.

Hello, I have a Rollei 6008 SRC 1000 and several lenses. I’m working to get the camera functioning and a possible problem for the future is the battery-charger system. I have a charger N and battery that seem to work ok now but they are old and could quit at any time so I’m looking for a replacement system. My battery is a 10V, rechargeable, T1.25A, slow acting, made in Germany. Any substitutes available? Charger D? Thanks! Tom Taylor
