The 617 S Technorama is a panoramic camera that shoots 4 6x17cm images per roll of 120 film. It has a fantastic Schneider 90mm f/5.6 lens and a special removable viewfinder that allows you to compose correctly. Even though it looks big, it's quite lightweight and easily hand-holdable.
This one is really complete and includes the extremely hard-to-find Schneider Center filter which costs between $450 and $900 on the second-hand market. I know this well because I spent a year looking for one for my own 617 (older model) that I stupidly bought without the center filter.
It's also in perfect shape - please see the pictures. I check the shutter and the speeds are accurate, and it's working well. If I had to guess, this one may have been only used for testing.
Comes with the camera, Linhof 617 Viewfinder, Center filter, Cap, Unused Linhof neck strap, a copy of the owner's manual, and the original box.
There just aren't a lot of these around and really none that I see in this amazing condition. I see that Samy's camera has currently two of these in their used dept. one at $9999.95 and the other over $11,000 which might be hopeful, but perhaps they know something?
