If you'd like to update your Lens ControlS to the latest firmware (2.18e) then you can send in your unit to me, and I'll update it for you within in a day or two of receiving it and then return ship it. This requires a special cable and software so it can't be easily done by the end user.
Note that return shipping costs will be added to the upgrade fee already to save time later. If you have your own shipping account or plan to drop off your unit with me, I will refund the shipping costs to you.
How can you tell what version you have? Simple, hold down the up and down arrow buttons at the base and then power the unit on. It will show the firmware momentarily during startup.
